Luminetx launches new divisions

Memphis Business Journal
January 31, 2008

Luminetx Corp. has launched two new service divisions, LumiCare Equipment Service and  Luminetx Financial Services Group.

The Memphis-based medical equipment company has tapped executive team member Ronn LaBrasca to lead both new divisions. The financial services division will help hospitals and clinics acquire its VeinViewer technology with capital and operating leases.

"The financial services group is expected to provide a further widening of ongoing sales efforts as clients have greater options, with less required time to acquire the technology," LaBrasca said in a statement.

Luminetx has contracted with Columbus, Wisc.-based MERA for LumiCare Equipment Service.

The group employs 350 field service engineers dedicated to servicing medical products. Based on the agreement the company will provide onsite support and preventive maintenance services to Luminetx customers across the nation.

"These are services our customers have asked us to provide so we're clearly fulfilling client needs by developing these groups," said Rodney Schutt, Luminetx chief operating officer, in a statement.

Luminetx discovers, develops and commercializes medical products and biometric technologies. Its VeinViewer product allows medical professionals to see veins in real time. It is on the market now and is used nationwide.
